GENERAL INFORMATION, TERMS & CONDITIONS.

We do not have an elevator. All our guest bedrooms are on the second and third floors and there is no elevator. Our staff will be happy to assist you with your baggage. 

We are a small hotel with limited space. So we decided to try the No Reception Desk method. When you enter the Lobby you'll simply go up stairs directly to your room which will be clearly marked. You will have received a text message or email with your Unique Door Code which will be active from your scheduled time of Check-in until 30 minutes after check-out. More on Door Codes below. 

 I know it's not easy to get up to the UP. And we know our guests may show up late or early. Official check in time is 3 pm. Check out time is 11 am. If you need a late check out or early check in, please let us know as soon as you know. We will always try to accommodate your travel schedule.

Except for the Owner's Suite, The Boardwalk has an integrated heating/air-conditioning system on the 1st and 2nd floors; each room has its own temperature control though all units are switched from heat to A/C through a central control.  There may be times when you ask for heat but the system is switched to cool. Please let us know if you require a portable space heater. Third floor room with the exception of Room 301 all have in-wall A/C Heating units. Room 301 and The Owner's Apartment have He

We have a three night minimum stay requirement for our Owner's Apartment all times. We have a two night minimum stay requirement for our 2nd Floor Suites on Thursdays-Sunday. There are no minimums for 3rd Floor Rooms.

 Every guest room is unique and most feature historic fixtures and furnishings that might be scratched or have some imperfections. If you find anything to be odd or require fixing or adjusting, please let us know.

All the artwork has been curated by Rene and she asks that we all try not to touch it. Finger prints are ugly on the glass, and some of the stuff is really old. The Firework Art is by James McNulty and many of the pieces are available for sale as Limited Edition Prints. Track Charlie or Rene down to get more info. 

We do not have house phones. If you need assistance, please use your cell phone to call the main number, 906-643-7500 ANYTIME DAY OR NIGHT.

We hope to offer a basic Room Service Menu.. Stay Tuned.  Each room will come with a complimentary snack basket featuring a variety of edibles and drinks. We cannot put alcoholic beverages in rooms as that would violate our license. You may purchase alcoholic beverages from our bar and take them to your room in an authorized, sealed container.

Most rooms have TVs with Premium Movie and Sports Packages, plus  High Speed Fiber Optic Internet at no charge. Some rooms have Internet TV only. The internet network is not a secured network. . 

The liability for your bill is not waived and you agree to be held personally accountable in the event that the indicated person, company or association fails to pay for any part or full amount of The Boardwalk Hotel charges. 

 All room nights are subject to the following taxes:

State Sales Tax: 6%,

Visitor Bureau Tax 5%,

UP Tax 1%.

The Boardwalk Hotel reserves the right to charge an early departure fee in the event guest leaves earlier than the original departure date. Guests with non-cancellable reservations and/or non-refundable reservations will be liable for the full duration of their original booking.

Group Cancellations must be made 60 days in advance in order to receive a full refund. Under 60 days and until 30 days will be 50%, and no refunds within 30 days. 

We are a Keyless Hotel. Door Codes are generated by our Integrated Locking System. This system is integrated with our Reservation System. Only registered guests with valid identification will be issued digital codes or be allowed access into the hotel guest rooms by Hotel Management. We cannot give codes to family members. Active Door Codes will unlock the Parking Lot Side Door after closing hours. 

 Guests should ensure that their hotel room door is properly secure at all times. The Boardwalk Hotel management cannot be held responsible for any personal items and/or valuables left in guest rooms. Each room has a programmable safe. 

 Registered guests will be held responsible for any missing or damaged items in their hotel room or any internal/external areas of Hotel. This liability extends to both registered guests and their visitors.

Pets are not allowed. Children are allowed but not encouraged as we have an active bar in our lobby and we do not have services for kids. We do not offer discounts for kids. We do not have cots or roll-a-way beds. We do not offer Chicken Fingers or Macaroni & Cheese (but we do love them).
